Central Library hosting celebration tea in honor of Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

What: I Sip My Tea with Royalty

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A global audience will be watching the royal wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry and American Meghan Markle, whose nuptials are this Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England.

On Sunday, May 20, from 3-4:30 p.m., the Central Library in downtown Birmingham is hosting a Celebration Tea allowing patrons to pay tribute to the royal couple. Participants will enjoy tea and light refreshments as they view highlights from the royal wedding, as well as selections from British documentaries. Please remember to bring your favorite tea cup and saucer.

This will be a fun and festive event in which participants can also test their knowledge of royal trivia. The tea is free and open to all ages, but advanced registration is required. Register online through the Birmingham Public Library events calendar or call 205-226-3670.
