In recognition of National Pro Bono Week, the Birmingham legal community is sponsoring free legal clinics at several different sites in Jefferson County. The first two clinics are devoted to providing advice to seniors about issues related to wills and estate planning; the third is for the general public.



Ghouls' Ball for Teens, October 25

Hey, teens, don't forget to stop by any Birmingham Public Library and pick up your free tickets for admittance to the Ghouls' Ball scheduled for Thursday, October 25, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Central Library. The event, which is for ages 13 to 18, will include music, dancing, food, treats, balloon sculptures, animals, a photo booth, free books, and Wii tournaments. Call 226-3655 for more information.

Watercolor Society of Alabama Members' Showcase Open Through October 26

The paintings are on display in Central Library's Fourth Floor Gallery. The free exhibit features 61 entries and is open during regular library hours. Several pieces are for sale.
