Engraving of Alexander Troy London who was an attorney. He served as counsel for the Elyton Land Company and its successor, the Birmingham Water Works Company. He represented Jefferson County in the Alabama Legislature in 1902. His name is prominently associated with the movement to establish a public library at Birmingham.
