The Alabama Department of Senior Services offers a toll-free legal helpline. The Alabama Elder Law Helpline can assist seniors with common civil legal questions including wills, trusts and financial counseling. The Elder Law Helpline number is 1-866-456-3959. People age 60 and over can call the Alabama Elder Law Helpline Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Also included is a comprehensive attorney state directory and a dictionary of legal definitions explained in laymen's language.
